Canon’s new EOS 1000D competes with the Nikon D60. The 1000D lies at the bottom of the pyramid of cameras from Canon. The EOS 1000D is a smaller camera and also a light one. In looks, it appears a little more refined and polished than the other cameras. The corners are rounded and so are all the buttons. I recently ditched my 30D for the 50D. Among the principal reasons I decided to get the 50D instead of waiting for the 5D MkII model to come out was that I was able to utilize everything I already had for my 30D since they are compatible. This is a great feature because I can continue to use my batteries, grip and remote without a problem.

Unlike the 18 months upgrade tradition,Canon has announced the 50D almost exactly a year after the arrival of the EOS 40D, which we’re assured will be a sister-model, rather than a replacement.
