A liquid crystal display or LCD monitor is a thin, flat device which is made up of a number of pixels arranged in front of a reflector. Each pixel of a LCD consists of a layer of molecules that are aligned between two transparent electrodes. There are also two polarising filters that are aligned perpendicular to each other.
